Business plans are summary reports prepared by entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas with their main elements and to introduce them to potential investors. A good business plan is an important document that helps the entrepreneur to reveal his business idea in a compact and holistic manner, to evaluate it with its strengths and weaknesses, to identify its deficiencies as well as its competitive advantages, and to reveal business goals in a realistic way. In this sense, business plans serve as both a map and a compass for entrepreneurs and contribute to identifying priority areas and activities in the enterprise process.
Business plans are also very important tools in the process of communicating the business idea to investors and lenders. A well-prepared business plan can open very important doors and make a significant contribution to obtaining the financial support needed early in the business idea.
Finally, a good business plan can also contribute to the rapid implementation of the initiative by being accepted by the partners that make up the value chain, especially the suppliers and distribution channel members. In this sense, it is of great importance that business plans are prepared seriously and meticulously and prepared by entrepreneurs by focusing on all the details, even if consultancy support is received. In this section, issues related to the content and preparation process of business plans will be discussed.
