DETAILS

The BiGG + Mentor Interface Call was opened with the aim of supporting activities for the establishment and execution of mentoring mechanisms to increase the business development and innovation capacities of SMEs.

In order to use public resources allocated to research and innovation areas more effectively and efficiently, the commercialization of the products and services of SMEs supported in the last 10 years within the scope of TUBITAK TEYDEB Programs, the entry of these SMEs into new markets and the increase in their export capacities are the main reasons of the call.

The following 11 Mentor Interface Organizations, which are eligible to be supported within the scope of the call, have started their activities as of February 3, 2020. It is planned that each Institution will provide mentoring services to 25-40 SMEs during the support period.

Mentoring service is expected to have two dimensions of impact on SMEs:

  1. Increase in the level of commercial maturity (For example, companies in the product development stage make sales, companies with sales income provide market diversity, export, etc.)
  2. Increase in R&D and innovation capacity (For example, ensuring the continuity of innovation activities, conducting innovation activities institutionally, etc.)

SMEs receiving mentoring services are expected to show progress in the following areas:

  • Increase in turnover
  • Increase in current market share
  • Entry into new markets
  • Overseas sales or increase in existing overseas sales
