INTRODUCTION
Although there is not a single word translation of "networking" in our language yet, according to Belen (2014), networking can be summarized as "The Art of Meeting, Introducing and Recognition ™" ie "creating a strong and trust-oriented environment for success". Research shows that networking is the main success factor of 70% in the process of starting and developing new businesses.
The closest concept to the concept of networking in Turkish is actually imece (collective work). Imece is doing things voluntarily and cooperatively within a village or group.
Almost everyone knows each other in village life. They even provide financial and moral support to their neighbors in need. Mutual information sharing takes place continuously, in places where you can rest, eat, chat and have neighborhoods, everyone is informed about each other.
However, the business world and the accompanying urbanization have led to the formation of groups of people who do not even know their neighbors. The strongest capital of a good relationship in the business world is mutual trust. Trust feeds the entrepreneur's reputation over time and the experiences people have conveyed about him. These are also called "references".
